Michael Saucier, Founder & CEO, Transpara
Michael Saucier, founder and CEO of Transpara, has 25 years experience leading technology innovation in the manufacturing and utilities industries.
Prior to Transpara, Saucier served as vice president of worldwide marketing and business development for OSIsoft, the leader in performance management software. In this role, he worked closely with global customers - including those in the power generation, T&D, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and chemicals markets - that were implementing the company's PI System.
Previously, Saucier founded Sequencia Corporation, which pioneered the process Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) market and was purchased by OSIsoft, as well as PID, which became the market leader in innovative batch process manufacturing software and was purchased by Rockwell. He also held senior technical and engineering positions at Honeywell and ABB. Saucier also founded the World Batch Forum, and served many years on standards efforts such as ISA S88 and S95.
Saucier received his M.S. and B.S. degrees in chemical engineering and a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating with highest honors. He is an acclaimed speaker on strategic business and technology issues, including the value of enterprise mobility and performance management technology in the utility sector, and has presented at numerous industry events worldwide.
