With Features & Configuration site settings, you control whether or not all sorts of things appear in your site. By default, most are already enabled, but you can use Visual KPI Designer to turn off anything.
These site settings affect configuration of your entire site (Visual KPI instance). You’ll find Features & Configuration under the Site Settings icon () in the Document Actions panel.
Two items are not enabled by default:
- Enable Near Me if you want site users to filter geolocation objects that are physically located within a selected mile radius.
- If you want to give access to your site at a micro level to Active Directory or security groups, you will need to enable Object-level Security.

KPI Status Configuration

| Default Name | Read-only Status Name. Use Custom Name to modify. |
| Custom Name | Override for the Default Name. Should be short and descriptive. |
| Custom Abbreviation | Short form abbreviation for Custom Name. (e.g. HH or Unk) Create one for each Custom Name. This may be used for small format devices. |
| Display Order | Controls the order for KPIs when group by status is used, KPI filter lists are viewed, or if KPIs are sorted by status. |
| Custom Icon ID | Override for default Status icon. Select an icon from the status grid in the right panel. |
| Default Color | Read-only default Status color (for Light Theme). Use Custom Light Theme Color to override. |
| Custom Color | Override for default Status color (for Light Theme). Enter as a Hex value or select a color from the status grid in the right panel. |
| Default Color | Read-only default Status color (for Dark Theme). User Custom Dark Theme Color to override. |
| Custom Color | Override for default Status color (for Dark Theme). Enter as a Hex value or select a color from the status grid in the right panel. |
| Show As Filter | Controls whether or not this Status is displayed to site users in the Status Filter dialogue. If FALSE, users will not be able to filter this status. |
| Include In Rollups | Controls whether or not KPIs with this status are displayed in the Group rollup bars. If FALSE, the KPIs will be shown, but not included in rollups. |
| Is Alert | Controls whether or not KPIs with this status are considered In Alert. |
| Ordinal | Read-only ordinal value for status, which can be used when overriding system status. |
| Status ID | Read-only system level identifier. |
