Why do I get a license key error message in Visual KPI Server Manager?

You may see a license key error message “Failed to save license key” when trying to add your license key in Visual KPI Server Manager.

This error is usually the result of the logged in user not having write permissions in SQL Server for the Visual KPI database.

To solve this, either get the appropriate permissions assigned to you, or have someone with the required permissions apply the Visual KPI license key in Visual KPI Server Manager.
